udctFamily ("we", "us", or "our") operates the udctFamily website and mobile applications (the "Service"), a private community platform for UDCT/ICT alumni, students, and members. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

When you create an account, we collect:

  • Profile information: full name, email address, mobile number, batch year, degree, profession, location, and profile photo.
  • Content you create: photo albums, chat messages, job posts, comments, likes, and reactions.
  • Account credentials: a securely hashed password.
  • Device and usage data: device type, operating system, app version, and basic analytics needed to keep the Service running.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide core features: profile, search, chat, albums, jobs, news, and events.
  • To authenticate you and protect your account.
  • To send transactional emails such as password resets and important account notices.
  • To moderate content and enforce our community guidelines.

3. Information Sharing

Your profile and posted content are visible to other authenticated members of the udctFamily community. We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not share your data for advertising purposes.

We may disclose information if required by law, to protect user safety, or to enforce our terms.

4. Data Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including hashed passwords and HTTPS in transit. No system is 100% secure; please use a strong, unique password.

5. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

6. Your Rights and Choices

  • Access and update: you can edit your profile from the app or website.
  • Delete your account: email [email protected] from your registered address with the subject "Delete My Account". We will remove your profile and personal data within 30 days.
  • Opt out of emails: use the unsubscribe link in any non-transactional email.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. After deletion, backups are purged within 90 days.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notice or email.
